I needed one of th ose (male/male) to use with my servo p rogrammer I needed an extension to connect a Deans plug to a Hitec/JR male plug and was able to make my own.. Most standard servo extensions have 26AWG wire I prefer to use 22AWG wire which is heavier yet fits the plugs and pins used to make up a plug/connector.. You may find it helpful if you can make up a connector with a male or a female plug on both ends.

00 You will need to buy one set of male and one set of female plugs PLUS the wire (see below).. It is somewhat pricey to get started BUT once you have the tools, plugs, and wire you need, being able to make up your own connectors (extensions) can be worth the expense and effort.. Futaba plugs have a 'keyway' Jr/Hitec do not S ometimes you have to file the 'key' off the side of the (Futaba) male plug in order to use it with a Hitec Female plug.
